This project focuses on the character design and environmental animation of an educational 2D vector explainer video. By blending clean character mechanics with step-by-step technical guides, the scene establishes a friendly, narrative-driven framework that guides users through preparing a bicycle for winter conditions.
The visual artwork features a stylized character in winter attire interacting with a bright yellow bicycle against a blue shed and frosted winter background scenery. The timeline carries the viewer through several key maintenance phases, including deep cleaning the frame, lubricating moving mechanical parts, inspecting brake cables, adjusting saddle height, testing lighting equipment, and inflating the tires. Maintaining a consistent vector style across both the wide scenic views and the detailed macro close-ups of the tire treads and chain links required careful asset scaling. The primary goal is to develop an appealing, highly instructional winter maintenance guide utilizing an approachable cartoon art style. The animation workflow aims to establish a clear hierarchy that balances narrative character actions with explicit graphic overlays detailing technical bike adjustments. Additionally, the project requires structuring all vector layers to ensure clean rendering and fluid performance across web applications, public information hubs, and digital marketing banners.
