This project showcases a custom interactive character animation created with Rive, featuring a stylized red devil sports mascot for United. Designed specifically for modern web interfaces, the animation transitions smoothly from a playful character scene into a clean, interactive logo crest reveal. By combining vector artwork with lightweight web motion technology, the project demonstrates how brand mascots can bring digital products and landing pages to life without compromising site performance.
Animating organic character movement like catching a ball and juggling while maintaining rigid vector geometry presented a unique technical balance. Synchronizing the physical movement with dynamic background elements like the dropping banner and stadium audio required precise timeline orchestration. Furthermore, ensuring that full interactive character rigging remains lightweight enough for seamless web deployment without frame drops was a crucial requirement throughout the build process.
The primary goal of this animation was to create an engaging interactive asset for digital sports branding and web hero sections. Another key objective was to build a rich character sequence while keeping file sizes small and load times instant. Additionally, the project aimed to demonstrate real-time web rendering capabilities, seamlessly blending expressive mascot movement, audio synchronization, and crisp vector typography.
