Halloween Animation

Mascot Animation

This project focuses on the character design and dynamic run cycle animation of a playful trick-or-treating boy.

Challenges & Objectives

/ Project Overview

The animation features a stylized young boy in mid-stride, captured in a joyful leap above a simple ground line against a warm background. He wears a purple and black vest combination with orange shorts while balancing a large, carved pumpkin with a jagged grin on top of his head. The core objective is to create a lively loop that perfectly conveys weight, motion, and festive excitement.

/ Challenges

Dynamic Weight Balancing: Coordinating the running motion of the boy while maintaining the visual weight of the large pumpkin balanced in his hands requires precise keyframing so the movement looks natural.
Secondary Motion Integration: Animating the small details like the pumpkin stem, the hair strands, and the swaying clothing layers to react fluidly to the main impact of each stride.
Seamless Loop Transitions: Ensuring that the high-energy running poses, facial expressions, and shifting limbs loop flawlessly back to the initial frame without any visual hitching.

/ Objectives

Implement a compelling run cycle that effectively combines primary character mechanics with secondary prop physics.
Optimize the final timeline and vector layers for lightweight performance across digital applications and seasonal web banners.

/ Final Outcome

By successfully blending expressive character physics with fluid secondary animation, the asset provides an eye-catching, festive element ideal for mobile loading screens, holiday app updates, or interactive web campaigns.
